Refund Policy

REFUND POLICY – MERLF.COM
Effective date: Jan 2026

This Refund Policy explains when Merlf.com (“Merlf”, “we”, “us”) may issue refunds for purchases made on our site. Payments are processed through Dodo Payments.

Merlf sells digital services and digital seconds/credits used to generate animated videos.

1.  DIGITAL CREDITS ARE USUALLY NOT REFUNDABLE
Because seconds/credits are delivered instantly and can be used right away, purchases are generally final once credits are added or used.

2. 24-HOUR “COOL-OFF” REFUND (ONLY IF UNUSED)
You can request a refund within 24 hours of purchase ONLY if:

  • you have used 0 seconds from that purchase, and

  • the credits are still unused in your account.

If any seconds from that purchase have been used, the purchase is not eligible for a refund.

3. WHEN WE MAY REFUND (FAIR CASES)
We may offer a refund or credit replacement if any of these happen:

A) You paid but didn’t receive your seconds/credits
If your payment went through and your credits were not added, contact us and we’ll fix it. If we can’t fix it, we’ll refund.

B) Duplicate payment
If you were charged twice for the same purchase by mistake, we’ll refund the duplicate charge once confirmed.

C) Major technical problem on our side
If Merlf is not working properly and you cannot use your credits due to repeated system errors, we may:

  • fix the issue, OR

  • replace credits, OR

  • refund (full or partial), depending on what happened.

4. WHEN WE DO NOT REFUND

We usually do not refund in these situations:

  • You changed your mind after purchase (outside the 24-hour unused window)

  • You used any seconds/credits from that purchase

  • You don’t like the output style/result (creative preference)

  • Your audio is low quality, unclear, or hard to sync

  • Queue delays (as long as the system is working)

  • You bought the wrong plan by accident (we may offer a one-time courtesy credit swap, but it’s not guaranteed

 

5. CREDIT SWAPS (OPTIONAL / CASE-BY-CASE)
Sometimes we may offer a credit swap (example: switching Starter credits to Pro credits or vice versa) instead of a refund. This is decided case-by-case.

6. HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND
Email: support@merlf.com
Subject: “Refund Request”

Please include:

  • the email used on your Merlf account

  • your Dodo Payments receipt / transaction ID

  • what happened (short explanation)

  • screenshots if there’s an error

RESPONSE TIME
We respond to refund emails within 24 hours.
If a refund is approved, the time it takes to show in your account depends on Dodo Payments and your bank/card provider.

CHARGEBACKS
If you file a chargeback without contacting us first, we may pause your account while we investigate. Please email us first — we’ll try to resolve it quickly.
