Welcome to Merlf.com (“Merlf”, “we”, “us”). By using Merlf, you agree to these Terms.

If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. WHAT MERLF DOES
Merlf lets you create animated videos by:

• uploading an audio file, and

• choosing a character, template, and background (depending on your plan).

Our system then automatically generates an animation and syncs the character to your audio.

Important: Results can vary. Some audio will sync better than others depending on things like language, clarity, volume, noise, and music/vocals.

2. YOUR ACCOUNT
You may need an account to use features. You are responsible for:

• keeping your login safe

• anything done on your account

If we see abuse or suspicious activity, we can limit or stop access.

3. PLANS, SECONDS (CREDITS), AND HOW USAGE WORKS
Merlf uses seconds (credits) to measure video creation.

A) FREE ACCESS

• Free users get 20 seconds of video creation.

• When you use them up, you’ll need to buy more seconds to create more videos.

B) PAID PLANS (ONE-TIME PAYMENTS)
These are one-time payments (not subscriptions).

STARTER – $4.99

• Includes 300 seconds

• Has limited backgrounds/templates (some items are locked)

PRO – $9.99

• Includes 1200 seconds

• Unlocks everything locked in Starter

 

4. CREATING VIDEOS
You can create as many videos as you want as long as you have seconds available. If a lot of users are creating at the same time, your job may take longer because of the queue.

5. DO SECONDS EXPIRE?
Your seconds do not expire until you use them, unless we clearly say otherwise at checkout.

​

6. PROCESSING TIME + NO PERFECT SYNC PROMISE
We try to keep creation fast, but processing time depends on:

• the queue (how many people are creating)

• your audio length

• system load

We don’t guarantee perfect lip sync or perfect timing for every audio. If your audio is unclear or not supported, results may be worse.

7. AUDIO FORMATS
You can upload common audio formats like MP3 or WAV. Supported formats may change as we improve the service.

 

8. YOUR AUDIO + RIGHTS (VERY IMPORTANT)
You still own your audio, but you are responsible for what you upload.

By uploading audio, you confirm that:

• you own it, OR you have permission to use it

• you are not violating copyright, privacy, or any laws

If you upload copyrighted audio without permission, that is your responsibility, not Merlf.

9. COMMERCIAL USE
You are allowed to use your generated videos for commercial use (example: monetized TikToks, YouTube videos, ads, promotions).

You are responsible for how you use the output video, including music copyright rules, platform rules (TikTok/YouTube), and any claims.

10. CHARACTERS, TEMPLATES, AND BACKGROUNDS
Merlf may offer characters, templates, and backgrounds. Some may be external or third-party assets.

• You get permission to use what’s available inside Merlf through your plan.

• We can add, remove, lock, or change assets at any time.

• You must not use Merlf to impersonate, scam, or violate someone else’s rights.

 

11. DELETING YOUR AUDIO

Merlf deletes your uploaded audio from our site immediately after your result is created.

Note: temporary technical logs may exist for short periods for reliability/security, but we do not keep your audio as stored content once the result is delivered.

12. REFUNDS (DIGITAL CREDITS)
Merlf sells digital seconds/credits. Because credits are delivered instantly and used to create content:

• Purchases are usually not refundable.

• If something is clearly broken on our side (example: you paid but didn’t receive seconds, or the system fails repeatedly), contact us and we may offer a fix, replacement credits, or a refund depending on the situation.

13. THINGS YOU MUST NOT DO

Please don't:

• hack, abuse, or overload the site/queue

• try to bypass locked plan features

• upload malware or harmful files

• use Merlf for illegal content or harassment

• upload content that violates someone else’s rights

If you break these rules, we may suspend or ban your account and block access.

14. SERVICE CHANGES AND DOWNTIME
We may update or change parts of the service (features, plans, pricing, limits, assets, supported formats/languages) to improve performance or prevent abuse.

Sometimes there may be downtime for maintenance or unexpected issues.

​

15. OWNERSHIP OF THE PLATFORM
Merlf owns the website, software, branding, and platform features (except user uploads). You may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the platform.

16. LIABILITY 
Merlf is provided “as is”. We do our best, but:

• we don’t promise the service will always be perfect or always available

• we are not responsible for losses caused by how you use the service or the content you upload

• we are not responsible for copyright issues from audio you upload

If a problem happens, our maximum responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid to Merlf for that specific purchase (unless the law in your area requires more).
